Membership is limited to the following:
An Executive member of a General Insurance Company who is engaged in the administration of claims.
An Employee of a General Insurance Company whose primary responsibility is the management of employees who are principally engaged in the administration of claims or in a role that requires a senior level of technical competency required for claims administration, this does not include persons employed in the independent adjusting field unless consideration has been provided under Article III B.
An employee of a Licensed Insurance Brokerage whose role is primarily related to the management of employees who are principally engaged in the administration of claims or whose role is that of a senior technical competency in the administration of claims.
A “General Insurance Company” is a company carrying on business as an insurer licensed to write and transact property and/or casualty insurance business in the jurisdiction of the Chapter and shall include Reinsurance companies and companies, which act as a manager for General Insurance Company as, defined in the constitution.
Any party requesting membership in the Canadian Insurance Claims Managers’ Association must be sponsored by a current active member of the association as defined in the constitution.
