Membership is limited to the following:

  • An Executive member of a General Insurance Company who is engaged in the administration of claims.
  • An Employee of a General Insurance Company whose primary responsibility is the management of employees who are principally engaged in the administration of claims or in a role that requires a senior level of technical competency required for claims administration, this does not include persons employed in the independent adjusting field unless consideration has been provided under Article III B.
  • An employee of a Licensed Insurance Brokerage whose role is primarily related to the management of employees who are principally engaged in the administration of claims or whose role is that of a senior technical competency in the administration of claims.
  • A “General Insurance Company” is a company carrying on business as an insurer licensed to write and transact property and/or casualty insurance business in the jurisdiction of the Chapter and shall include Reinsurance companies and companies, which act as a manager for General Insurance Company as, defined in the constitution.
  • Any party requesting membership in the Canadian Insurance Claims Managers’ Association must be sponsored by a current active member of the association as defined in the constitution.
